Lagos – Ebonylife TV has officially announced the search for head
writers, series writers and script editors who will provide the literal
arsenal to bring Desperate Housewives Africa to life.
According to Nation the writers are expected to mix elements of the original Desperate Housewives show with a seasoning of African flavour.
The deadline given to writers to submit pitches is December 1, which will mark the beginning of auditions for actors.
The original Desperate Housewives, which ran for eight years, won two Golden Globes in 2004 and 2005.The original series was concluded in 2012.
EbonyLife through its CEO Mo Abudu had announced in October that it will start a series called Desperate Housewives Africa which will air in 2014.
