West Ham 0-3 Chelsea: Lampard haunts Hammers again

A brace from the ex-West Ham midfielder and a first-half strike from Oscar secured their side the points in what turned out to be a routine away win for the west Londoners

Frank Lampard netted an emphatic early penalty after a Guy Demel error led to Oscar being brought down in the box, and the Brazilian soon doubled his side's lead with a pinpoint finish when he was granted the requisite time and space on the edge of the hosts' penalty area.

Sam Allardyce's outfit, to their credit, made an early double-substitution in a effort to redress the game's outcome and were a much-improved side after the half-time interval, but the result was rarely in doubt after Chelsea early dominance was rewarded with a two-goal lead and was secured with a late third from Lampard.
